Guest Ratings & Reviews
I found the hotel to be decent overall, with clean rooms that were well-equipped but a bit disappointing as we didn't get the connecting rooms we requested. The service was friendly, but some aspects like the towel provision could be improved. The location was convenient and near many attractions, despite some road restrictions. The dining options were acceptable, but extra charges for poor quality food were a downside.
The hotel has a bit of a retro feel to it, and you can hear some loud noise from the piping when someone is showering in the bathroom. On the bright side, they provide famous pork lard popiah and include two bottles of mineral water, a kettle, and coffee and tea sachets in the room.
I was pleasantly surprised by the famous pork lard popiah which exceeded my expectations. Staying in the room with two single beds at RM248 felt like excellent value. The staff, despite being a bit dodgy, were genuinely nice, albeit lacking in proper customer service training. They were friendly and pretty helpful with a constant smile. The location of the hotel is very convenient, with easy access to restaurants and the well-known Jonker Street just a short walk away. Although the dining options were decent, the meals cooked in the restaurant were just okay, leaving me to seek out other breakfast choices either by car or on foot.
My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms, although a bit outdated, were clean but unfortunately overlooked the parking area, lacking any special view. On the downside, the room was actually infested with insects and tiny cockroaches, which was quite unpleasant. The service was friendly and helpful, especially when they called a cab for us when we were leaving, though they only offered a minimal discount on the room rate and didn't allow us a late check-out. The location was decent but a bit far from Jonker Street and the malls. The dining experience was average with limited variety for breakfast. Overall, it was an okay stay, but there were definitely some drawbacks to consider.
I had a great stay at the hotel. The rooms were clean and spacious, making for a comfortable experience. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was excellent for exploring the old part of Melaka town, but the dining options were limited. Overall, a good value for the money.
